Hotel Lamerichs is quietly and strikingly located in the beautiful Limburg Geuldal and Heuvelland. The village of Geulhem in Berg en Terblijt is surrounded by a very wooded area but the bustle of the city is not far away!
A popular place for anyone who wants to enjoy carefree all the good and Burgundian that Limburg has to offer. The hotel is an ideal base for visiting the beautiful cities of Valkenburg, Maastricht, Aachen and Liège. Here you can still enjoy nature carefree. You can go hiking and cycling in the nearby area of the hotel. At the reception you will receive more information about the different places, and you can rent bicycles on request. There are various nice walking and cycling routes available.
You can of course store your bike and E-Bike securely and inside. You can easily rent bicycles at www.cyclecenter.nl location valkenburg center – reservation is required.
Maastricht - 8 km
Burgundian Maastricht is the capital of Limburg and the city centre is only 8 kilometres from Hotel Lamerichs Berg and Terblijt. The hotel is an excellent base for a weekend of shopping and delicious food in Maastricht. Also, if you want to load a minute weekend trip to Maastricht, we are happy to assist you. Lamerichs is 10 minutes’ drive from Maastricht Aachen Airport.
The city has a long history, which goes back to Celtic times, before the start of the current era. Today Maastricht especially is the image of a vibrant city good for shopping and recreation.
The famous Vrijthof square is located near the Servaas Church. Beautiful museums are: the Bonnefantenmuseum and the Treasury of the Basilica of Saint Servatius. There also are some famous events you might have heard from: the TEFAF, the Preuvenemint, Winterland and of course Carnival.
Valkenburg - 3 km
Hotel Lamerischs is only 3km away from the center of Valkenburg. This city is both nationally and internationally known for hosting big cycling events. Since 2003, the top of the hill ‘de Cauberg’ (Valkenburg) has been the finish line of the Amstel Gold Race.

The current train station building in Valkenburg ‘Station Valkenburg’ is the oldest still in use building for a train station in the Netherlands, build in 1853.
From November to the start of January, the whole center of Valkenburg is being transformed into a real life Christmas City ‘Kerststad Valkenburg’.
Berg en Terblijt
In the immediate vicinity of Hotel Lamerichs Berg and Terblijt we find, next to much natural beauty, the Geulhemmergroeve and the cave houses. These cave houses were inhabited until 1931. Residents of these special homes were the block breakers, people who sawed large blocks of marl every day. These block breakers are currently still active, except that the extracted marl is no longer used for construction, but for restoration purposes. The Geulhemmergroeve can only be visited by groups on request.
In addition, there are various activities nearby such as an exhibition location for high-quality, contemporary visual art at Gallery and Giardino Sculpture Garden . Here the works of renowned and young talented sculptors and painters are shown. There is also an annual presentation in March in the cloisters of Chateau St. Gerlach and the Gerlachus church in Houthem St.Gerlach.

Accessibility
Berg en Terblijt is another 8 minutes’ drive from the intersection on the A2 “De Geusselt in Maastricht” when the exit takes you to Berg en Terblijt. Follow the signs to Valkenburg. After approx. 2 km opposite the Groenrijk garden center, take the first road to the left towards Geulhem and follow the main road – the road goes downhill after approx. 500 m. After approx. 1 km you will see Hotel Lamerichs on the left. From Houthem-St.Gerlach train station, Hotel Lamerichs is a 10-minute walk away.
